"This program puts us in a position where we can talk to kids on one hand and listen to them on the other. Listening is whatís really important. Maybe we can find a way to effect real change."

- District 24 Senator Don Cravins

"I do think itís important to go back to the classroom to hear what kids have to say and let teachers tell us how our votes impact them. We need to let them know that legislators are real people who live in their areas."

- District 33 Senator Robert Barham

When I told the kids a senator was coming to visit, some said, "Oh that will be boring. He won't want to talk with us". Well, after he left they were all talking about how much he seemed to love his job, how he seemed to care about them and that he tried to make it fun for them. I was so happy that they enjoyed his visit so much... The students are now begging me to go to Baton Rouge to "see Senator Nick Gautreaux". He really did make the presentation fun for the kids and he had an excellent rapport with them. My other classes all wanted to watch the video and were mad that they missed out.

- Lesley Angelle, Teacher, Carencro Middle School

"We want to thank Senator Mike Michot for his time and effort spent with our 8th graders at Edgar Martin Middle School. He was the "talk of the town" that day at school. Hopefully, these students will use their "voice" to sustain our future in Louisiana! We will continue to use the information given to us in class. Thanks, again!"
