Senator Robert W. "Bob" Kostelka  -  District 35

 

Elected State Senator, District 35, in 2003.

Elected to Court of Appeal, 2nd Circuit 1998.  A Louisiana District Judge since 1983, serving the Fourth Judicial District Court of Louisiana, comprising Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes.  First elected judge December 18, 1982; re-elected in 1984, 1990, and 1996.

Nominated in 1992 to the Federal District Court bench by then-President George Bush.  Nomination not effectuated when President Bush failed to be re-elected.

Previously served as District Attorney and Assistant District Attorney, Fourth District Court, for eight years - 1964-1971.
