I am humbly honored to serve the wonderful citizens of District 14 during a difficult time for our state. There are few of us whose lives have not been thrown into shadow by the catastrophes and worldwide economic storms of the last few years. They have brought with them winds of partisanship and panic against which I am pledged to speak out for cooperation, compassion and common sense.
The sun will shine again and I prefer to hope that when it does, Louisianians will look at one another and know that we did the right thing. We did not trample the poor to save the rich. We did not throw our youth into a sea of ignorance to save our pocket books. And we never forgot to take care of the sick or the elderly.
If there is anything I can do as a senator to help you, please let me know.
Straight from the heart,
